Before you head into the long weekend, TODAY is the last day to drop a COPY of your 4x6 Veteran photo in the box at the front office labeled “Veterans Day Photos.” This reminder is for those families that are new to Travis or have a Veteran that was not included last year. More details below! Another friendly reminder that the UIL interest form is due by tomorrow for any interested 2nd-5th graders with additional information listed below. Finally, we all work hard together as a community to ensure we place safety first for all of our students. Please review the playground safety reminders below to ensure you and your student understand expectations for dismissal and afterschool supervision and behavior. Thank you for your support! Have a great long weekend! Wishing you well, Andrea French Travis PTA President

You’ve Been Boo’d!Last week the PTA Hospitality Team fulfilled over 50 “BOO” supply requests by stuffing bags and delivering supplies to classrooms. It brings us great joy to fulfill these needs for our teachers and staff so they don't have to cover these costs on their own. We’re thankful for the ability to do this and extra grateful for the volunteers who gave their time to help with this event.

PTA SpotlightThe PTA Board proudly presents our Library Co-Chairs, Amanda Brown and Jessie Sumners. Amanda and Jessie are both proud Tigerback moms—Amanda has Zooey (3rd grade) and Travis alumni Finn (6th), and Jessie has Simone (5th) and Travis alumni Tierney (7th). Amanda enjoys traveling with family (Nature + National Parks!), having coffee with friends, and reading. Jessie enjoys time with family and getting outside whenever possible—both of which often lead to travel, hiking, and time at the beach. As library co-chairs, they support our librarian, Ms. Moore, through volunteer coordination for library-adjacent opportunities, decorating the library display case at our front entrance, and assisting with the Name That Book team. In addition, they help with two book-based events—the Book Fair and One Book, One School—special Travis events to further a culture of reading and a love for books. Please contact them (library@travispta.org) if you want to volunteer with any of these library efforts!
